Jeffrey’s Bay

Tuesday 23rd April. We had a lovely breakfast at Andelomi Nature’s Rest and chatted to the owner about his time in the UK. We had a short drive over to Jeffery’s Bay (just over 1 hour) but the weather has continued to be very rainy. It’s too bad for our surfing lesson 😢. We found a great coffee shop that roasts it’s own coffee onsite. They had a huge coffee grinder and a massive selection of coffee preparation methods. Seb went for a chemex (so he could have more than one cup!). We had a drive along the seafront and parked up to look at the bay. Then we wandered around the huge number of surfing shops in town. We checked in at our AirBnB which is just next to the beach. We walked on the boardwalk but no-one was out surfing. The AirBnB is lovely. It has sea views and a thatched roof.We went to Nina’s Restaurant for dinner as recommended by our host. Seb had a hanging skewer of Ostrich with ‘brewhaha’ beer and a coffee. I had a tuna steak with a glass of house wine and a Flying Fish.
