The Final Destination

After our surfing fun, we headed to Nina’s Restaurant again for some lunch. Seb had the surfers sandwich, now he’s a pro (chicken and bacon)! I had a tasty wrap.

The drive to Port Elizabeth was a straightforward one. Port Elizabeth is a surprisingly big city and still has a vibrant, fully working port as you drive into it. It’s very different to the small towns we’ve been stopping at for the last couple of weeks.

Our hotel is really nice – the only one not booked by AirBnB. We have a suite of rooms, with a giant bath! We sat around the pool for a couple of hours this afternoon whilst the sun set.

We wandered along the seafront to find some dinner. We ended up at the Boardwalk – which reminded us of an upmarket Centre Parcs. It had overpriced chain restaurants, a casino, amusements, rides and ice-cream parlours.

We ate at Col’Cacchio (South Africa’s answer to Ask). I had zucchetti and really enjoyed it. Seb had pizza before heading home to nurse our aching muscles (from surfing!).
